This set is just perfect for traveling because it's so nice and light and has all the essentials built-in. It comes with a normal medium stroke brush, a travel brush that you can fill with water and squeeze while painting. It also has some palettes for mixing your colors and a sponge for wetting your brush. The colors are vibrant and pretty pigmented and you get a very good mix of 24 beautiful colors. You also get a color swatch with names and a splash guard to keep your set clean. The watercolors do need a lot of water to give you a very pigmented color so make sure you bring a bottle of water while you are painting on the go. Overall a great product with a very elegant design. I love the tin box carrier that’s still super light and compact and fits into any bag easily. Would definitely recommend!

As a watercolor painter and enthusiast, I enjoyed using this palette greatly. It's always fun experimenting with colors and mixing and this palette makes the process much more nice. The stylish design is easy on the eyes and its light weight compact design fits perfectly in my book bag. The Allegro variety offers a nice selection of vibrant colors ranging from cool to warm which in my opinion, is the preferred palette for me. The watercolor pen is one of my favorites. I tried a few before and this one is the highest quality I've tried yet. It's very easy to use and can cover a large area of painting while making it much easier to blend my paintings. The palette is easy to clean after using the mixing trays and the flat-brush provided is also a high quality and has been added to my arsenal of beloved brushes that I use almost every time.

I enjoyed this watercolor set a lot, it would be a great set for traveling. The colors are bold and blend well and the metal case is sleek and durable. The water brush it comes with works very well, and again is absolutely perfect on the go. But these watercolors looked fantastic on the Zen watercolor paint brushes. I was so happy with how well these colors blended! Really this is such a perfect set of watercolors to travel with!

This is the perfect watercolor set for beginning artists to professionals. I’m not an expert at watercolors and am a beginner. I love the colors in this sets. They’re bright and vibrant. There’s a nice color choice. The brush is extremely soft and glides across the paper effortlessly. I love that it come so with a test card. I often forget what the colors look like and can easily reference the handy chart. Plus, it was fun to make the chart myself with the colors instead of it being already printed. Even the case they are in is a plus! It’s small, compact, sturdy and so cute. It would fit easily in a bag for travel. This set could easily be used for travel because it is the perfect size to carry along and latches shut so no chance of spilling. I’ve used this set everyday sincerely getting it! It’s Ben useful for so many. I tested it with crayon repel art and it worked great with no smudging.

The product comes in a beautiful metal tin. The materials come in a plastic insert that I will be removing in the future to resuse the tin once the paints are done. I appreciate that the set comes with two brushes and has so many color options. My two issues are that the mixing area isn't large enough and the plastic they used for it stains. Due to this, it feels like a cheaply made product. The paints themselves are decent for student quality. They dry fairly quickly on the mixed media paper I was working on but they at least had decent color pay off. Pros: -Good selection of colors for price -Good color pay off -Great for beginners -Metal tin is reusable (when I finish using the colors of this set I'll remove the insert and make a new watercolor pallete using half pans and magnets.) Cons: -Cheap plastic inserts that get stained by the paints -The watercolor brush feels cheap, sometimes if you're not careful when squeeze the water brush, the brush can suck up the color you are working with and end up mixing with the water in the chamber -The flat brush should also be a water brush, if you aren't carrying water cups with you, you'll have a tough time using this brush. You can always squeeze out water from the water brush and use it with the flat brush, but you'll eventually run out of water. If this is supposed to be a kit for an artist on the go, both brushes should be water brushes Although there are several flaws with the pallette, this is a wonderful and cheap set for a beginner artist.

The ZenART Allegro travel watercolor set is very high quality. I was immediately impressed by the beautiful packaging and design that went into the set. It feels really sleek and professional. It comes with a really nice flat brush as well as a watercolor pen that easily pops into place in the set. The colors are vivid and bright, they have a great staining quality on watercolor paper. I swatched them on the test swatch paper that came and saw that the colors were really comparable to more expensive brands, and the variety is exactly what a beginner would want. But you can also mix and the mixed colors are just as wonderful!
